  Unhappy Camper - I purchase new lumber (with delivery) for a deck in my backyard. The delivery invoice showed that one of the pieces 4"×12"×12' is defective (sold as is)! I rejected the split beam but the driver refused to return this heavy beam. Bottom line - Two beams are actually defective, delivered with splits. I now have two large beams, heavier than me, in my front yard waiting for Lowes to pickup. I have since purchased two beautiful 4"×12"×12' beams from Home Depot, rented their truck and took them home. Very disappointed with Lowes. They sold defective merchandise to me knowing it is defective. It's like delivering a new refrigerator to a customer without a door and expecting the customer to accept it.
